Tiemoue Bakayoko has welcomed Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid to Chelsea ahead of his £67 million move. Bakayoko; former Monaco midfielder, who has now joined the Stamford Bridge club himself, posted a picture on his Instagram which captioned the image "welcome" and included a blue and white circle emoji, in reference to Chelsea's colours.
Chealsea confirmed on Wednesday they had agreed terms with the Spanish forward in a short post on social media. Morata then spoke to the Spanish press, saying "I am very happy, God willing, tomorrow I will be at Chelsea, a club that has always wanted me. "I'm not disappointed about anything, I've won four titles here [with Real Madrid], but now I only think of putting on the Chelsea shirt. "I want to grow up, if I didn't I wouldn't have left.
"Thanks to all the Madridistas who supported me. I will always wish Madrid the best. The last time I wore this shirt was in Cibeles." Morata also spoke to AS, where he discussed the pending transfer, revealing that Blues boss Antonio Conte played a huge part in his decision.
On Thursday morning the 24-year-old was photographed at Heathrow airport ahead of his medical with the Blues. And in the evening posed alongside Bakayoko - one of a few Chelsea players still in London after the squad flew to China for pre-season training.
